Women's Art Week

After a visit to Yelapa in 2004, Sierra fell in love with the place. Feeling that other women would want to share in the creativity inducing, laid back tropical venue that is Yelapa, Women’s Art Week was born. Since art making is at its best in an environment that is void of mundane hassles of everyday life, Women’s Art Week in Yelapa was developed with this in mind. Women are free to spend their time expressing themselves creatively instead of thinking about doing the dishes!

Yelapa is a small fishing village set on the edge of the jungle, on beautiful Banderas Bay. It is 45 minutes and 100 years away from the tourist scene in Puerto Vallarta! Escape the noise and congestion of cars; transportation in Yelapa is by boat, on foot or on horseback. Yelapa prides itself on its great restaurants, many in lovely gardens or beachside settings. Getting anywhere in Yelapa is always and adventure as former strangers quickly become friends on the footpaths that are Yelapa's "highways".

After daily art making activities, attendees are free to explore, swim, snorkel, hike to waterfalls, take boat rides to remote beaches, go bird watching, go horseback riding or just relax in a hammock. Hasta la pronto!!
